Halfords Autocentres Launches Towbar Fitting Service

HALFORDS AUTOCENTRES, the UK’s leading nationwide garage network, has launched a new tow bar fitting service at 28 locations throughout the UK, with plans to expand to 100 sites by the end of 2016.
 
With prices starting from £350 for tow bar and fit, it means that motorists can choose from a wide variety of fixed, detachable and retractable tow bars to pull trailers and bike racks. The service also includes a vehicle-specific wiring kit which communicates with the car’s on-board electrical system to highlight factors such as bulb failure, reverse sensors and stability. 
 
The service, launched in partnership with Brink, the world’s number one tow bar manufacturer, also means that customers can choose the most appropriate tow bar by simply entering their vehicle registration number at: http://www.halfordsautocentres.com/advice/tow-bars/tow-bar-fitting. All Autocentres colleagues have been trained by Brink to provide the perfect tow bar fit.
 
Recent research by Halfords Autocentres reveals that 54 per cent of motorists complain of not having enough space in their cars for luggage, while 23 per cent of motorists tend to use tow bars for transporting bikes on racks.
 
Martin Barber at Halfords Autocentres says: “When our research revealed that over half of motorists complained about not having enough luggage space we knew this was an opportunity to help and by launching this service we’re making it easier than ever for motorists to enjoy their driving experience this summer. We’re planning to roll out the service at all garages, to give drivers more convenience and choice.”
