Air Conditioning sales rise at Halfords Autocentres

19 July 2016

Halfords Autocentres reveals that bookings for car air conditioning services have increased by 200% in the last week. In addition the garage network reveals that 34 per cent of drivers don’t know how to check their car air conditioning and 43 per cent don’t know how to perform basic maintenance checks which will keep their car in prime condition for the summer months.

Halfords’ Autocentres Martin Barber says “With the weather  set to be a scorcher it makes sense for motorists to get their air conditioning checked.  A well looked after air conditioning system will keep your car’s interior cool with ease and have a minimal impact on economy. By keeping the air conditioning set to an optimal 21 degrees, breakdowns of a mechanical rather than the mental variety should be your only concern.”

Halfords Autocentres has also launched free nationwide summer checks, which include checks on air conditioning, oil, checks and top up of screen wash, blades, bulbs and batteries. Available now at over 700 Halfords shops and Halfords Autocentres, pop in today or book online at www.halfordsautocentres.com.

Notes for editors: The research was carried out by YOUGOV in March 2016 and had a sample size of over 4,000 adults.
