HALFORDS NAMED AS ONE OF BEST PLACES TO WORK BY SUNDAY TIMES

Halfords, the UK’s leading retailer of motoring, cycling and leisure services and products, was last night ranked 24th in ‘The Sunday Times Best Big Companies to Work For’ survey. For the seventh year, Halfords has ranked amongst some of the major players in the UK, and the award reflects Halfords’ continued success in the annual colleague survey.

The placing is entirely based on feedback from company colleagues, through a detailed questionnaire about workplace culture, practices and colleague sentiment towards their employers.

The findings, which contribute to the ranking, revealed that the majority of colleagues felt their manager cared about how satisfied they felt in their job and that their manager wants to help them fulfil their potential. The poll also revealed that the majority also felt that the training in their job was of a great benefit to them personally.

Michelle Burton Group People Director from Halfords says: “We’re thrilled to have once again been again named as one of the Best Big Companies To Work For by The Sunday Times. This is testament to the many initiatives we have in place for our colleagues and our great culture. We are always looking to introduce new and innovative services to our customers, and with extra demand for vehicle technicians as we head into MOT season and the roll-out of our Mobile Expert fleet it brings increased job opportunities for potential colleagues.

“It’s great to know our colleagues are proud to work for Halfords and it’s thanks to them that Halfords is the success it is today.”
