TODAY Olympic, World Champion and Tour de France hero Sir Bradley Wiggins unveiled his range of kids bikes for toddlers to teens, developed exclusively for Halfords.

Sir Bradley started cycling as a 12 year old on a Halfords bike after being inspired watching Chris Boardman ride in the Barcelona Olympics, and his ambition to encourage more kids to cycle has come full circle with bikes which are uncompromised on spec and design, but are accessible and affordable.

Sir Bradley said, “These bikes are designed for kids and young people of all ages, boys and girls, to try and give them the best cycling experience, so they can get the feeling I had when I first got on a bike.”

“The best thing is that we’ve designed a bike for every ability – from balance bikes for toddlers taking their first ride, to quality road bikes for more serious young cyclists. Riding your bike is one of the only sports mum, dad, everyone can do together.”

Emma Fox, Halfords’ commercial director said; “Working with a champion such as Sir Bradley has been brilliant.

“Bradley has been involved in developing every bike from the wheels up so this range really represents our shared vision to get more kids cycling with this fantastic range of bikes.”

Each model is named after a town or location that was part of Bradley's historic 2012 Tour De France win. The bikes – from balance bikes to high spec road bikes - have been designed with geometry specific to young riders.
