HALFORDS GROUP PLC: PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES

Halfords Group PLC announces that on 01 November 2011 it purchased, through Investec Bank PLC, 64,529 of its ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 319.0075 pence per share. The highest price paid was 320.0 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 317.2 pence per share.

Following the above purchase, the Company has now bought back 9,269,962 shares for cancellation and 5,368,969 for transfer into treasury, since 7 April 2011 when the buy back programme commenced.
