Transfer of shares out of Treasury

Halfords Group plc announces that on 15 August 2011 it transferred 3,950,288 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company from Treasury into the Halfords Employee Share Trust for the purpose of meeting Performance Share Plan, Company Share Option Scheme and SAYE options.

Following this transfer the Company continues to hold 429,712 shares in treasury.
