HALFORDS GROUP PLC: PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES

Halfords Group PLC announces that on 09 June 2011 it purchased for cancellation 100,000 of its ordinary shares at a price of 412.665 per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 418 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 407.2 pence per share. 

Following the above purchase, the Company has now bought back 5,961,296 shares for cancellation, since 7 April 2011 when the buy back programme commenced.
